Andy has travelled the world filming a range of documentaries, from the joy of a royal wedding to profiling life coping with motor neurone disease and the impact of drugs on human life.

Andy has created a very strong presence in news and current affairs in Scotland, the UK and worldwide. Images of Light has become a BBC preferred supplier in Scotland and the UK and provided the crews for BBC Scotland’s referendum coverage in the weeks leading up to the vote in 2014. On the day of the vote Images of Light supplied 50 camera crews to broadcast this historic event. This has led to all subsequent elections being covered to date. Channels served include:

Andy has worked across a wide range of sports for a number of different broadcasters including BBC Sport, ITV, CNN, Octagon CSI, IMG, ESPN, Sky Sports and Pitch International. This ranges from feature style pieces across football, rugby, athletics, golf, boxing and curling, to name but a few, culminating in working at major events including London 2012, the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014, as well as the World Cup in South Africa 2010. At present he is also part of the BBC Athletics team covering all major events in 2015/16.

As well as feature coverage Andy has also filmed major sports documentaries for BBC Sport, BBC Scotland and Scottish Television including the acclaimed Seve Ballesteros programme on his golfing life, Jack Nicklaus’ favourite open golf holes, to the career of Walter Smith, which Andy in part directed as well as shot.
